Meet Becky Kish- Mid-Atlantic Farm Credit *Team Crafting a Cure

I am an Eastern Shore girl, born and raised in Caroline County by my parents. I have worked at MidAtlantic Farm Credit in Denton for 18 years. My world revolves around my 9-year old son, Reed. I enjoy watching him grow and play sports.

I accepted my nomination from Katie Thomason (left) and our Legacy Team, Crafting a Cure. I am proud to say that our team is now entering our 3rd campaign with MWOY Eastern Shore! Our team runs in honor of Mrs. Chris Fike, Katie's mom. Mrs. Chris has been battling stage 4 Non-Hogkins Lymphoma for 6 years. Additionally, many people I know and love have been affected by cancer and I feel like being involved with this campaign is my way of being part of the solution; being a part of something bigger than myself.

Having been involved with the eastern shore MWOY over the last several years, I have seen what the LLS program has done to help Mrs. Chris and so many others. Knowing that nearly 77 cents on the dollar goes right back to the mission in our state is astounding and shows me that what we are doing is truly making a difference. Not only in the the way of research, but LLS Maryland gave out over $706, 000 to patients last year to help with their copays and travel assistance money in 2017 alone! This is something we can truly be proud of! I want my campaign to help make this a reality again in 2018!

Our team, Crafting a Cure, is ready to to raise funds to help find cures for not only blood cancers, but all cancers. Our mission is to give hope to cancer patients and their families and make someday closer to TODAY! Please like our page and follow our campaign as we get closer to the kickoff of our campaign next March 29! Crafting a Cure - Becky Baynard Kish for LLS MWOY 2018
