Central California's Boy & Girl of the Year
The Boy & Girl of the Year are local children battling blood cancers who serve as motivation and inspiration to Man & Woman of the Year candidates in their competition to raise funds and win the titles.

Andrew Inigues
In September 2006 Andrew was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). He was just 18 months old and then when he was 2 years old, he relapsed and underwent a double cord blood transplant. Andrew is now a happy, healthy 6 year old and is in kindergarten. He loves school. He also likes to play video games with his brother. When he grows up he wants to be a a doctor and invent something so he doesn't have to be poked.
Girl of the Year
Cassara Armstrong
In June of 2010 Cassara was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). She was just 7 years old when she underwent intense treatment. In a little over a year she is currently in remission and on maintenance treatment. Cassara likes to swim and play with her sister. She says her favorite pet is a puppy she received when she became sick. The puppy's name is Luke for Leukemia. He's a Yorkie mix and she says he's always with her when she doesn't feel good.
