Connecticut Chapter Boy & Girl of the Year

The Boy & Girl of the Year are local children battling blood cancers who serve as motivation and inspiration to Man & Woman of the Year candidates in their competition to raise funds and win the titles.

Rosa
Age seven lives in Coventry, CT. This wonderful girl has Down Syndrome, but there is nothing "down" about it! Everyone who meets her cannot help but feel happier within a few minutes. Rosa was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on Columbus Day weekend in 2008. Through chemotherapy, Rosa went into remission quickly, and completed her treatments last December. Rosa loves music, games and being a girl's girl!
