Meet the 2017 Woman of the Year Candidates:

June Burke

June Burke is the Director of Business Development at J.S. Held. June is excited to be running as a Woman of the Year candidate and to have been nominated by Vinny Finnegan! She is running in honor of her sister, Susan, who is currently battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML). June's motiviation is to help raise enough money for clinical trial drugs to be funded, researched, and dispensed to help save lives... especially her sister's life. She can't wait to join the other 8 candidates in hitting their $1 million goal!
Rebecca Foerster

Rebecca Foerster is the Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing at Leo Schachter Diamonds, providing invaluable insight into the minds of the millennial consumer. With over 25 years of extensive experience launching and leading brands and ventures in the fragrance, cosmetics, jewelry and packaged goods industries, Rebecca is known for her strategic development and ability to flawlessly penetrate into new markets. Respected as a dynamic team leader and transparent communicator, Rebecca has an innate ability to visualize winning marketing strategies and tactics.

Christina Generoso

Christina provides highly customized life stage financial planning strategies to individuals, families and business leaders. Her mission is to deliver thoughtful, objective wealth management guidance to inspire her clients to feel confident about financial decisions.Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of the financial markets, economic conditions, family dynamics and investment strategies.

Upon graduating from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Economics, Christina began her career at Citigroup Asset Management in 2004. Two years later, she joined New York Life/MainStay Investments, where she spent more than eight years educating clients on how to navigate the financial markets.She also had the opportunity to work as a Regional Vice President at Direxion Investments.

Christina prides herself on serving as a catalyst, helping many of her clients make important connections that can lead to new business opportunities. She is a member of the Executive Women's Golf Association, Ellevate Global Women's Network, Rye Triathlon Club and is active in many charitable giving and fundraising activities. She currently lives in Katonah with her husband, Vincent, and their two fur babies, Aksel & Alice. When shes not working directly with clients or fundraising for the many organizations she supports, she enjoys skiing, Pilates, golf and triathlons.

Nadine Mentor

Nadine Mentor leads Ramirez's Southeast Regional office where her diligent banking services have led to significant refunding savings, lower borrowing costs, optimized flexibility, expanded investor outreach, and higher ratings for her clients.

With an understanding of the value of teamwork and promoting strong collaboration, Nadine has senior managed more than $15 billion in financings nationwide and works closely with her colleagues in banking, underwriting and credit research to introduce new ideas and innovative strategies to benefit her clients.

An advocate for diversity of professionals in the municipal bond market, Nadine led Ramirez's efforts to become the first Hispanic-owned firm to lead a transaction for the State of Connecticut in 2013. She is also committed to recruiting and mentoring women in the municipal bond business. Nadine is passionate about helping to rebuild Haiti following the devastating earthquake in January 2010. As a Board Member for Haiti Help Med Plus, she helps to raise funds to build medical facilities, schools, and homes in Haiti. Nadine has traveled to Haiti eight times as part of her commitment.

Fiona Porter

Fiona started her 20+ year career in Moscow, Russia, as an emerging markets headhunter. Based on success in Russia she was asked to travel to Dubai, UAE and help build out teams. Over her career she has worked in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Milan and NYC. She has always had a passion for helping people, maybe it runs in the family as her father was a General Practitioner (old style Doctor)!

With the birth of her daughter, Sabrina, eight years ago it became necessary to change somewhat the pace of life, and Fiona spent several years working remotely. She counseled people on career changes around the world, and three years ago found her way into the wonderful world of Real Estate! Fiona works as a Realtor with Higgins Group, Stamford. She operates across Fairfield county predominantly as a Buyers Agent; It turned out to be quite an easy switch to 2nd career; after all she had been busy finding people jobs, and now it seemed only natural she could find them somewhere to live! Here again, negotiation skills came in to play!

In addition to real estate Fiona operates as a Business Owner with She enjoys her varied role as a Shop Consultant! Whether it be a case of improving peoples health via the use of supplements, retraining the way they eat via a hugely successful 21 Day Challenge weight management program, assisting with a new website to enhance a small/mid-size businesss online presence, introducing families to an amazing program which will help them ultimately become debt free in 1/3 to 1/2 the time with little to no lifestyle change, or simply helping people earn cash back on each and everything they buy online.

Fiona lives life to the full! She and her daughter enjoy their time together jumping on the trampoline (Mother needs to become more flexible according to daughter), and going on regular walks with Bella cockapoo and Peanut cockerdocker. Fiona appreciates family life, friends, good food, wine, socializing, and local as well as international travel as and when the schedule permits.

Fiona was born in York, United Kingdom, and attended the University of Birmingham, UK where she obtained BA Hons in German & Russian. She earnt a Diploma in Interior Design from CA.

As for voluntary work, she helps out in her daughters school library, and enjoys supporting Lexis Angels Rescue.

Meet the 2017 Man of the Year Candidates:

Spencer Coker

Spencer Coker is an Executive Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he works as a municipal finance banker. During his 23-year career, he has assisted numerous states, territories, cities, and other public entities raise capital for general government, transportation, water, utility, and education projects.

Spencer currently serves as his firm's representative to the Municipal Division Executive Committee of SIFMA and has recently been nominated to serve as a Trustee to New York Citizens Budget Commission.

Spencer received a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. Spencer lives in New York City with his wife and two children.

Tim Hodges

Tim is currently the Deputy Police Chief for the City of Yonkers. Tim considers himself lucky to have a job that allows him to make a difference daily in hte lives of those that need help most. He is now running as a Man of the Year candidate in honor of his father whom unfortuantely lost his battle to leukemia several years ago and his best friend to multiple myeloma two years ago. During his 10-week campaign, Tim would like to honor his father and friend, as well as other people who are currently battling or have battled these horrible diseases.

Ryan Longmire

Representing Team Answer for Cancer as the LLS Candidate for MWOY is Ryan Longmrie from Greenwich, CT. This is Ryan's first time competing to raise funds and awareness for MWOY and his first major partnership with the LLS.

Ryan is a lifelong resident of Greenwich and has worked in financial services for the last 20 years as a Senior Trader and Director of Sales for firms such as Convergex and North Sound Capital. He has been on the board of The Greenwich Teen Center and is very active in the Greenwich community including fundraising for Greenwich Hospital and attending local charity events. Ryan is an avid skier and golfer and when he is not working, traveling or spending time with his family, he can be found sailing the waters of the Long Island Sound.

Ryan is honored to be nominated for the 2017 Man of the Year title and is especially passionate about the LLS' mission having had many friends and family experience cancer. He is dedicated to generating funds to help find a cure and to raising awareness about leukemia as well as all forms of cancer. As a Man of the Year Candidate, Ryan is committed to aiding the fight against disease and is confident that he can rally the community's support around the LLS.

Ronnie Ram

Ronnie Ram is the son of two parents who lost their lives to cancer at a time when treatments were limited. He has been involved with LLS as a volunteer, committee member, community partner and now Board Member since 2007.

He is the President and Co-founder of InspiriaMedia Group, a Westchester based leading marketing and advertising agency which specializes in outdoor advertising and digital marketing. Under his leadership, his firm went on to win the Award for Fastest Growing Companies in America an astounding 3 times as well as teh General Excellence Award by 914Inc magazine. While he spends his focus in business helping clients implement strategic marketing campaigns, he dedicates a tremendous amount of his time to this mission.

Ram, a seasoned entrepreneur, has extensive experience in the coaching of individuals and teams, served as a corporate consultant for Dale Carnegie Training and a past partner in a NYC based business brokerage firm. He holds a master's degree in speech and interpersonal communication from New York University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a bachelor's degree in speech communication from SUNY Potsdam.

In 2010, Ram was a recipient of the "40 Under 40" Rising Stars Award from the Business Council of Westchester and currently serves on their Leadership Committee as well as on the 2017 Rising Stars Selection Committee. He is an avid triathlete and lives in Westchester County with his amazing and beautiful wife Paula and his adorable son Oliver.
