Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, Lehigh Valley Branch's              Boy & Girl of the Year

The Boy & Girl of the Year are local children battling blood cancers who serve as motivation and inspiration to Man & Woman of the Year candidates in their competition to raise funds and secure the titles.

The 2011 Lehigh Valley Boy of the Year is Ryan Yaindl.

Current Age: 11
Diagnosis: Hodgkin?s Lymphoma
Interests: Drawing, fishing, and camping.

He likes to watch the TV show Deadliest Catch and his favorite movies are Indiana Jones and

Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Hero: Dad and PopPop
When I grow up, I want to be a: football player and an artist.
Likes: Football, wrestling, and baseball. Ryan also likes to spend time with his family and friends.

She also likes the movies Alvin & The Chipmonks, Happy Feet, and Garfield.

Her favorite books are ?Bite Me, I?m a Book? and ?Peekaboo Bedtime Stories.?
