Kellcey Nichols
Parents: Keith & Yvette Nichols
Kellcey is a senior at Snider High School in remission from Hodgkin lymphoma. She was diagnosed on January 31st, 2012 and received chemotherapy as part of her treatment. Childhood Hodgkin lymphoma accounts for 7.2 percent of all childhood cancers.
Kellcey's focus is always the well-being of others. She often apologized because she didn't feel well enough to participate in family events, yet pushed herself to endure so others wouldn't miss out. She often smiled on the outside, even when she wasn't smiling on the inside.
She has 2 brothers and 1 sister, and like most teenagers, she enjoys eating and sleeping! She also enjoys drawing and playing volleyball.
Kellcey's Words of Inspiration for the 2013 Class of Man & Woman of the Year Candidates:
"Never give up hope."
