Everyone wins when cancer loses.
Join Man & Woman of the Year!
Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a spirited ten-week fundraising competition to create a world without blood cancers and earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Man & Woman of the Year" titles. Recognition of the winners in local and national media makes this the perfect opportunity for business leaders, community members and philanthropists to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives.
More than 1 million people in the United States are living with, or are in remission from a blood cancer. Someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer every four minutes. New cases of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma will account for nine percent of the 1.5 million new cancer diagnoses in the United States this year.
Over $22.7 million was raised nationally last year and the Massachusetts Chapter has a goal of raising $360,000 this year! We rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations.
Do you have what it takes to be the 2014 Massachusetts Chapter's Man & Woman of the Year?
We are now accepting candidate nominations for our 2014 campaign! If you or someone you know are interested in running for this year's Man and Woman of the Year title, please contact Louise Popp at 508-810-1302 or Louise.Popp@lls.org.
