Boy & Girl of the Year
Mid-America's Boy & Girl of the Year
The Boy & Girl of the Year are local children battling blood cancers who serve as motivation and inspiration to Man & Woman of the Year candidates in their competition to raise funds and win the titles.
Boy of The Year- Daniel, 11 Years old
Daniel was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in July 2010. Daniel is currently in remission after recieving a bone marrow transplant from a very special donor, his little sister. Daniel is a very active boy. He loves playing football, X Box 360, reading and putting legos together.
Girl of The Year- Taylor, 5 Years old
Taylor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2010. This adorable five year old loves to play with her siblings, stuffed animals and is an excellent dancer. Taylor is currently in maintance therapy.
