Cancer is a very scary word. When you hear it about someone you love your whole life stops. All you do is worry and ask “how can I help?” This past year has been one of those years for Deb and me.
This past year our daughter Catie fought off Cancer and we are so thankful that she is doing great and has a wonderful prognosis for a happy healthy life. Unfortunately, for so many others the battle against Cancer is so much more difficult. So, I am trying to help by raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
March 18th marked the 5th anniversary of my Mother passing away as a result of a 9 year battle with Lymphoma. She fought her fight the best she could and always with a smile and helpful advice for those fighting alongside her. That is why this fundraising campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is so important to me.
LLS provides support to families fighting Cancer as well as critical resources for research to find better treatments and eventually a cure for this horrible disease. This year the Man and Woman of the Year Campaign is celebrating two special children, Dylan and Karley. They both have been battling Acute forms of Leukemia. While their stories are very different, they both represent why contributing to LLS is so important.
I hope that you can help us with this critical fundraising effort.
To contribute, you may return a check to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 3877 N. 7th Street, Ste. 300, Phoenix, AZ 85014 - with The Barb Project in the memo, or donate online right here.
It would mean so much to kids like Dylan and Karley and the thousands of other children
and adults fighting this often lonely battle against blood cancer. I am making a significant
contribution and I am asking you to help as well. Your donation is tax deductible and it
may also help me win the Man of the Year, which I am competing for in honor of my Mother.
Your generous donation will mean the world to people fighting Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Thank you so much for considering this request.
