Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign for Man or Woman of the Year. I am part of Team Zeke working to raise as much as possible in a 10-week period. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes/raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year.
When I accepted the nomination for Man of the Year I was just looking for a great way to give back to my community who has blessed me so much in my 43 years in Arizona. I had not been impacted directly by Leukemia & Lymphoma, however since agreeing to help this great cause one of my good friends has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and is currently fighting back with all his might.
My friend's name is Zeke Bishop. He is a 40 year old father of two amazing sons, Zack and Ethan. He is married to an awesome woman named Marcie and they have basically led a great life since the day they met. This isn't the first time Zeke has been thrown a curveball in his journey as his lives everyday with Chrohn's Disease as well. For those of you that know me well, you know my wife Samantha also has Chrohn's and I have seen firsthand how hard that disease can be. Now he has Lymphoma to deal with as well. Not once have I ever heard Zeke say "Why me?". He just deals with what is in front of him and does it with amazing courage.
Zeke is just one of thousands of people who deal with these dreaded diseases, but he is the reason I want to win LLS Man of the Year! If I win, that means I raised the most money during this 10 week campaign.
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund the therapies and treatments that save lives, not someday but today.
Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professionaleducation, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org Let's beat this! #TEAMZEKE
