MY PASSION is to END CANCER!
Over the past 14 years I have raised close to $200,000.
How did I do this....I got involved.
While I taught school, I was involved with "Pennies for Pasta."
In 2003, I was Woman of the Year for the Suncoast Chapter raising just under $40,000. I have done Light the Night in both Florida and Georgia.
And then there is Team in Training....no I physically didn't do this, but I have supported several people in their quest to END CANCER!
I have mentored past Man & Woman of the Year title holders.
And now this.....
I am both HONORED and HUMBLED to be nominated to represent The GA Chapter as their ALL-STAR WOMAN OF THE YEAR candidate.
MY connection - My dad passed away in March,1991 of late life Leukemia.
My Mom of pancreatic cancer in February, 2011. I spent the last 2 months of her life with her in Miami. It was the best 2 months and at the same time the worst 2 months of my life. The one thing she always wanted to do is go back to her maiden name, BEBE FINEMAN. I was able to do that by being the Title Sponsor of MWOY in Tampa. It was great seeing her name in lights,
BEBE FINEMAN - A LIFE WITH GRACE & DIGNITY.
Now, 3 years later with the beginning of THE ALL-STARS, I can do this again along with my family and friends.
We all have ONE common goal and that is to END CANCER.
Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers.
LLS funded drugs like Gleevec, Sprycel, Arinza, Tasigna and Zolinza are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible.
"THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO HAVE A LIFE WITH PURPOSE"
I cannot thank you enough for your support.
