SCOTT SAVACOOL AND FAMILY
Welcome to my Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Web Page to support my campaign for 2013 Man of the Year.
I have been involved with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for many years and have been dedicated to helping find a cure for blood cancers. I am honored to be a candidate in the LLS Man & Woman of the Year campaign. This is a fund-raising event where business men and women compete against each other to raise the most money during an intense 10-week period between February 7 and April 18. All proceeds support LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Please support me in this campaign as I raise money for the LLS in honor of the Boy & Girl of the Year, Katelyn & Tyler.
Katelyn, 8, is battling B Cell Lymphoma which is a non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that affects her lymph, internal organs and central nervous systems. Her most recent surgery was a bone marrow transplant in March 2012. Throughout all of her treatment she has maintained an aura of assurance and has blossomed into a confident girl who loves to share her story.
Tyler, 12, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Tyler received chemotherapy for over 3 years meanwhile being hospitalized for any fevers or infections. After completion of the treatments, Tyler was able to do something he had been longing to do for years, play football! A few months later, Tyler became very ill and received word that his Leukemia had returned. He realized this was his chance to make a difference and began speaking with other children about his disease and his experiences with LLS. Tyler lost his battle with leukemia on March 6th. Please keep his family in your prayers.
This is where you come in. My campaign to be the Man of the Year is all about dollars raised. Every dollar I raise helps the fight against blood cancer. I am asking you today to join me in this ambitious campaign. I have until April 18th to reach my goal of $50,000.
I sincerely thank you for your donation and your willingness to help fight blood cancer. I respectfully ask you to reach out to others you know and ask them to do the same. I have found that a lot of people I talk to about LLS have a connection to blood cancer and want to support our efforts. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to support our efforts to conquer blood cancer.
I’ll let you know how my campaign goes. For now, I am grateful for your friendship and support of this great organization and the Boy & Girl of the Year.
