Thank you so much for your interest in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)! Please note, online donations made through this campaign from this point and on will not impact the standings of the 2014 New York City Man and Woman of the Year winners. However, any donations made from this point on will continue to fund LLS’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
The only way to support your candidate and impact their standing is by bidding on Grand Finale Gala silent auction lots via our silent auction website.
Please visit http://gavelandgrand.com/auctions/mwoy to view the auction and bid on your favorite candidate’s items! The site will remain open until 9:20pm today, 6/5/14.
If you need immediate assistance, please email Amy.Abramson@lls.org.

Team: Cancer Don't Care
2014 Woman of the Year Candidate
On February 18, 2014, my father, Roger, lost his battle to Multiple Myeolma. He was gone six months after his diagnosis, despite immediate and aggressive treatment.
He was a staunchly private person. He never spoke about his cancer to anyone but immediate family and one or two lifelong friends. Being public about my father's cancer feels somewhat like a betrayal; but I cannot be silent about how devastating it was to helplessly watch a loved one die from a horrible disease such as this.
My dad was forced to live far outside his comfort zone, without choice, thanks to cancer. In his memory, I am voluntarily forcing myself outside of mine, to fight for a cure.
I committed to running for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year from a complicated place of love and loss. This campaign is fueled by a raw and present state of grief.
No one should have to fight with all their might, yet still lose their life to cancer.
From March 27 - June 5, I am rising to the challenge to raise as much money as possible to fund critical research that will help find a cure for cancer. This is for my dad, for your fathers, mothers, siblings, loved ones, friends, mentors, neighbors...possibly even you.
No one is unaffected by cancer.
#CancerDontCare. We do.
Join me in the fight.
With heartfelt regards,

Welcome to my Man & Woman of the Year home page!
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes /raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year.
Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs like Gleevec, Sprycel, Arinza, Tasigna and Zolinza are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
