Cancer effects all of us, either directly or indirectly so we must do all we can to raise cancer awareness and prevention. Unfortunately there is no early detection for blood cancer so it is imperative we find a cure and with your tax deductible donation it will bring us closer to finding that cure
LLS focuses on raising funds not only for research and awareness in the fight against leukemia and lymphoma, but also for myeloma and blood cancers, whose survival rate is increasing thanks to advancements funded by LLS. Therapies supported by LLS benefit a broad range of illnesses including several forms of stomach and skin cancer. LLS-funded drugs are also being tested for effectiveness in treating non-cancerous diseases such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
On that note, I am proud and humbled to be nominated for this year’s “Man of the Year” by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Gulf Coast Chapter. I am grateful to have the support of the incredible “campaign team” you see listed on the left. The “Man & Woman of the Year” campaign is a fundraising competition with every penny of this effort benefiting LLS, the leading non-profit organization committed to finding a cure and giving life to those who are fighting or will fight blood cancers.
My team has ten weeks, March 20 - May 30, 2014, to raise as much money and awareness as we possibly can for LLS. Please consider making a donation directly to LLS in “support of” my team during this short annual campaign. I will be forever grateful and my team will be forever grateful. LLS known for investing an extraordinarily high percentage of its funding directly to cutting-edge blood cancer research (more than $73 million in the fiscal year 2013 alone). Help us find a cure!
