I am so honored to be writing you as a candidate for the 2017 Woman of the Year campaign to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a national ten-week campaign which runs from March 3- May 12. I am writing today to ask for your support in reaching my goal of $100,000 to help LLS in its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. This year the LLS Upstate NY/Vermont Chapter is campaigning in honor of the local Boy & Girl of the Year Anthony Yevoli (age 20) and Abby Sayles (age 5), each a brave survivor of blood cancer.
I have always been so incredibly blessed to be able to give back to the community in which I was born, raised and LOVE. To be able to give back in such a small way is an honor and a privilege. It has always been such an important part of my life to be able to do anything that I can to better the community that surrounds me and this campaign is no different. For every $50,000 raised I am able to obtain a research grant in honor of a survivor, a patient or someone who has succumb to one of these terrible diseases. With your support, I know we can get there!
Blood cancer is a ruthless disease that more than 1.2 million Americans are either living with or are in remission from. Despite significant progress, more than a third of blood cancer patients do not survive five years after being diagnosed.
However, with your support of a tax-deductible donation, you can help save lives, not someday, but today!! Donations may be made electronically through my campaign website: http://www.mwoy.org/pages/uny/alb17/agoogas all donations must be received by May 7, 2017. Checks should be made payable to LLS. Please indicate the candidate name, Andrea Googas, in the memo portion of the check, to be sent to Andrea Googas 387 3rd ave Loft 301 Troy, NY 12182.
With your support, I truly believe, the best is yet to come.
With Love and Appreciation,
