Welcome to my Man & Woman of the Year home page!
I happily accepted my nomination for Woman of the Year in honor of my younger sister whom I lost to a blood disease. She is my guardian angel and guides me to assist others as much as possible. It seems as though cancer has touched every aspect of my life. My dear friend and Campaign Manager, Lindsay recently lost her father to cancer. As much as she has helped me over the years, I would love to give back and help raise funds to find a cure in her honor. In addition, my college roommate and best friend Katy was diagnosed as a young child with cancer. She has been in remission for many years and is a true inspiration. Not only has she fought and conquered the disease, but she gives back and helps others as a Registered Nurse. My husband calls her a bouncy ball because she is always happy and full of energy and lives life to the fullest.
Nevertheless, I am fortunate to have met this year’s Boy and Girl of the Year, Connor Vickers and Adriana Gilliam. Connor and Adriana are local children who are survivors of blood cancers and who are sources of inspiration for my campaign. I hope that my efforts will prevent another family from enduring such a loss of losing a young child or sibling. Hopefully they will have the spunk that Katy possesses and live a long, prosperous life.
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes /raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year.
Not only can you support my efforts by making an online donation, but you can attend my events and social activities I am hosting in the upcoming weeks. They include the following:

Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs like Gleevec, Sprycel, Arinza, Tasigna and Zolinza are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
