Suncoast Chapter's Boy & Girl of the Year
The Boy & Girl of the Year are local children battling blood cancers who serve as motivation and inspiration to Man & Woman of the Year candidates in their competition to raise funds and win the titles.
2012 Girl of the Year
Paige Trotman
Paige is 10 years old and is in the fifth grade. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February of 2010 and currently is in monthly maintenance with prayers to complete treatment in April. Paige loves to cook, and read. Her favorite singer is Justin Bieber. Words of encouragement "Without even knowing it, you are a shining light even to those who do not know your name. Thank You for your hard work and caring.
Your time and efforts will help these local children, and thousands of children and adults in their fight against blood cancers. The money you raise will help find a cure!
2012 Boy of the YearSean Covais
Sean is 7 years old and is in the first grade. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September 2007 and is currently in remission. Sean is a very special little boy. He is very lovable and extremely outgoing. He loves the Lightning and the Rays and enjoys playing the WII. He is a huge Michael Jackson fan and his favorite comedian is Jeff Dunham. Sean?s family motto is "Today we are alive. Today, our chance of living is 100%".
