Man & Woman of the Year is a ten-week spirited fundraising competition in which the candidates are judged on their success in generating funds to advance the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Candidates are nominated to use their leadership skills to conduct their individual fundraising campaign. Every dollar raised counts as one "vote."
The candidates compete in honor of LLS's Boy & Girl of the Year, local children who are blood cancer survivors and sources of inspiration to others. Funds raised will help advance LLS's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
