Capital City Man & Woman of the Year Campaign
Presented By
Group Health Cooperative of - South Central Wisconsin
The Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign is a fundraising competition in communities across the U.S. in which participants vie for the title of Man or Woman of the Year. They raise funds for blood cancer research in honor of local honored heroes who are blood cancer survivors. The titles are awarded to the men and women in each community who raise the most funds during the ten-week campaign. The top local fundraisers in the country also receive national recognition. The top man and woman fundraisers in the country will win the national title.
In 2011, 10 candidates participated in the Capital City Man & Woman of the Year campaign and collectively raised nearly $130,000 to fund the fight against blood cancers! The funds raised by these ten local leaders gave thousands of people battling blood cancer the chance to live better, longer lives. Our deepest thanks to all our 2011 candidates and their supporters!
