Portland, OR – The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is proud to announce that Caryn Lee, ADP’s Vice President of Sales for the Pacific Northwest has accepted her nomination to be a candidate in the 2019 Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) philanthropic challenge.

Born and raised in North Pole, Alaska Caryn earned an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University then went on to achieve an MBA at the University of Portland.  She balances work and play with her husband Stuart, raising four children aged 4 – 12 to become involved and caring citizens and looking for ways to help others in their community.

Cancer touches everyone, and the Lee family is no exception.  Several people close to the family have received life-changing diagnoses, and some are currently fighting for their lives.  A major part of Caryn’s decision to become involved is the impact LLS has had beyond blood cancer.  Several LLS-funded treatments are now standard of care for other cancers, including the first chemotherapy and CAR T-cell immunotherapy.   “Learning just how much LLS contributes to battling these diseases makes it a no-brainer for me to fight for every dollar I can get.”

As a candidate for Woman of the Year, Caryn is excited and impressed by the competition’s format.  “I am incredibly competitive and excited to raise as much money for LLS as I can.  I’m in it to win, but at the end of the day everyone wins when cancer loses!”
