The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Presents

Man & Woman of the Year

Man & Woman of the Year is philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States.  Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of two local children who are blood cancer survivors.

The man and woman who have raised the most funds during the ten-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Man or Woman of the Year in their community.  The man and woman who have raised the most across the entire US will be recognized as the national Man & Woman of the year.

Congratulations to our 2018 Man & Woman of the Year winners

Trent Jackson & Maddie Dyer

Madeline Dyer, Visa

Maddie Dyer
Maddie is originally from Sacramento and works in politics, currently as a government relations professional at Visa, here in San Francisco.  She ran for Woman of the Year in memory of her cousin, Cory, who fought acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)  as a little boy.  She reached an incredible milestone, not only as Woman of the Year but as a Top Fundraiser and will link Cory's name to a ALL research portfolio.

Trent Jackson, JAX Vineyards

Trent Jackson
Trent and his family are determined to help cure cancer since he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in December of 2014. His sister, Kimberly was a perfect match to provide the life-saving bone marrow transplant.  His wife, Theresa and three daughters, Kirra, Alexa & Jamison and his parents, David & Jane, have rallied crowds of families to the Light The Night festivities over the last few years.  Trent set a new record for the most funds raised by an individual in The Greater Bay Area!
